Colossal Elements: 60,000 year old Stabilized Mammoth Tooth – Lume Infused Hybrid, Aqua Glow Liner
The Colossal Ring is serious luxury, for the serious collector. A real mammoth tooth specimen was used for the creation of this ring. It has an estimated age of 60,000 years. A mammoth is any species of the extinct genus Mammuthus, commonly equipped with long, curved tusks and, in northern species, a covering of long hair. They lived from the Pliocene epoch (from around 5 million years ago) into the Holocene at about 4,500 years ago in Africa, Europe, Russia, Asia, and North America. They were members of the family Elephantidae, which also contains the two genera of modern elephants and their ancestors. The appearance and behavior of this species are among the best studied of any prehistoric animal because of the discovery of frozen carcasses in Siberia and Alaska, as well as skeletons, tusks and teeth.
Now that you a bit more educated in Mammoth and their species, then you can put together what makes Colossal so unique within the collection. With this ring comes a liner that glows aqua. The liner is hand poured, cured and lends reinforcement as well as style to the mammoth tooth. This specimen is also fused and stabilized with an accent orange lume to strengthen the material while making this ring eye-catching.
